Eve keepings de jesus - Filmmaker / Founder

Eve Keepings de Jesus is a documentary filmmaker whose work reflects a deep commitment to human connection and social awareness. She uses storytelling as a way to educate, inspire, and foster positive change. Originally from a small mining town in South Wales, UK, Eve’s early fascination with film ultimately evolved into a purposeful career dedicated to exploring real world issues through the lens of lived experience.

After relocating to Chicago, she gained hands-on experience in film production and discovered a passion for directing. Over the past decade, she has worked across commercial, music, and documentary projects, blending her creative instincts with her background in counseling and cultural exploration.

Her most recent documentary, Selective Mutism: Getting the Word Out, exemplifies her mission to use film as a catalyst for awareness, inclusion, and meaningful dialogue engaging educators, clinicians, and communities around the world.

CHRIS CASTINO - ASSISTANT DOCUMENTARY SCRIPT WRITER 

Chris Castino graduated from Northwestern University with a psychology/sociology double major, certified to teach grades K-12. She later gained credentials in Gifted Education at National Lewis University. After retiring from the classroom to raise a family, she worked one on one with children to help them overcome Selective Mutism. As a Selective Mutism Consultant, Chris is intimately familiar with the need for greater awareness amongst families, educators and healthcare professionals. She hopes that recognition and early diagnosis will result in prompt intervention and improved quality of life for children and families living with Selective Mutism. Her passion and experience led to her involvement in the making of this film.

Michael Christensen - Lead Editor

Michael Christensen is a writer, filmmaker, and visual artist from Chicago. He has been shooting and editing for 15+ years, often doing business as No Coast Creative. Projects that he typically works on include documentaries, web series, video art, and all types of educational and corporate video. His most popular work (by far) are his animated paintings on YouTube. Michael is currently in pre production for his debut feature film, A Trivial Pursuit.

IMAAN HASAN - CREATIVE MARKETING SPECIALIST

Imaan Hasan is a writer, director, producer, and artist. She holds a BA in Film/Digital Media with minors in Studio Art and Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago. She has a strong background in creative project planning, and has worked on multiple short films in a wide variety of roles.

Imaan sees documentary filmmaking as a powerful tool for activism and is passionate about sharing the stories of those who go unnoticed by the broader American culture. Much of her work centers the experiences of people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Muslims in America. 

Don Ford - Cinematographer

Don Ford is an award winning cinematographer and editor and though feature films and cinema are his main influences he has a background in traditional art, graphic design and photography. Don studied both traditional cinema and experimental video while at the Institute of Art and Design. After Graduating with honors in 2008 Don started freelancing as a Production Assistant, Assistant Director, Director of Photography and Editor. Don’s freelance work includes Award Winning feature films, PBS Documentaries and short films. Collaboration, creativity, storytelling and a humble approach are Don’s philosophies for business and life. Storytelling is the goal, but people are what matter.

DAVE GOLDIN - CINEMATOGRAPHER

Dave Goldin is a digital creative Ninja with deep experience in video and the web. He has filmed celebrities and billionaires and five public television documentaries. Dave has worn many hats and helped raise millions in the non-profit arena. He has built robust online publishing systems, membership databases, certification systems, and educational archives. And he gets to work with great people, helps bring their ideas to life, and creates change.
